What is the difference between a copy edit and a line edit, and which professional editing service is right for you? A line edit looks at your manuscript at a paragraph and sentence level, revising for clarity and style. A copy edit looks at the technical and syntactical aspects of your writing, looking for errors in spelling and grammar.

Light Copy Edit ($0.02/word) - 8 errors or less per page
Copy Edit ($0.025/word) - between 8 and 15 errors per page
Heavy Copy Edit ($0.028/word) - over 15 errors per page
